As part of the national COVID-19 response, an appointment system has been implemented at the Port of Bridgetown effective Tuesday, April 14, 2020, to ensure cargo identified as essential, is unstuffed and delivered to consignees and that exports are facilitated in an efficient and timely manner.
This new protocol is a collaborative initiative of Barbados Port Inc., the Customs & Excise Department, the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Port Health Unit, the Ministry of Agriculture’s Plant Quarantine and Veterinary Services Units, and the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce.
