Barbados Port Inc. (BPI) has updated its cargo appointment system to make cargo pickup and delivery more efficient, predictable and convenient for customers, trucking companies and other logistics partners.

The revised digital system facilitates the scheduling of cargo appointments for the collection of personal effects and vehicles and the delivery of export cargo, helping to better manage traffic flow, reduce congestion and improve coordination across agencies. The new system is a significant upgrade to the model first launched in 2021 and is expected to support improved service, resource planning and an enhanced customer experience.

This new cargo appointment system represents an important step in the continued modernization of the way cargo is handled and scheduled. Our goal is to give customers and logistics partners greater certainty, reduce delays and create a smoother flow of cargo through our facilities.

Key Features

  • Online appointment booking for cargo collection and delivery
  • Pre-scheduled time slots to reduce congestion
  • Improved visibility for customers, freighters and operations teams
  • Better planning for staffing, equipment and facility resources
  • Reduced paperwork and more efficient gate check-in and exit processes

The system will be introduced on September 1, 2026 and will be accessible via https://pcs.barbadosport.com/cargotracking/. While no service interruption is anticipated, BPI personnel will be available to assist customers and partners during the transition and can be reached via email to appointments@barbadosport.com or telephone 1 246 434 6100 Ext. 5108; 5206; 5208; 5211. During the initial rollout period, we will monitor system performance and stakeholder feedback to make any necessary adjustments.

BPI is committed to delivering efficient cargo services through ongoing investment in digital tools, operational improvements and stakeholder collaboration and logistics support for the communities and businesses it serves.
