Establishment of Wave Sensor Buoys – Approaches to Bridgetown Harbour

Mariners are hereby advised that two wave sensor stations have been deployed in the approaches to the Bridgetown harbour:

1.          Wave Sensor 2A

Located North of the Coast Guard Base at the following position:

•            Latitude: 13°   06.80’N

•            Longitude: 059°  37.98’ W

2.          Wave Sensor 3B

Located North of the Green fairway buoy and West of the Coast Guard Base at the following position:

•            Latitude: 13°   06.67’N

•            Longitude: 059°  38.24’ W

Buoy Identification and Lights

Each wave sensor station will be marked by two buoys:

•            Wave Sensor 2A: two yellow Buoys

•            Wave Sensor 3B: one orange and one yellow buoy

The buoys will be visible by day. During the hours of darkness, each wave sensor station will display a quick-flashing yellow light, visible from a distance of approximately one (1) nautical mile.

Mariners are advised to maintain a proper lookout and exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of these wave sensor stations.

Mariners are requested to give the buoys and associated equipment a wide berth and not to interfere with, anchor on, or otherwise come into contact with the installations.
